Kate Baez is a board-certified behavior analyst licensed behavior analyst and licensed marriage and family therapist. Kate began her work in the therapeutic field in 2008 as a paraprofessional in a preschool self-contained classroom in Millburn New Jersey. It was there that she found her passion for ABA therapy. From there Kate was recruited to work for Lovass Institute in the southeastern branch of New Jersey. She quickly became a managing supervisor for Lovaas Institute. During this time Kate supervised staff who were conducting ABA therapy in the client's home. It was here that she saw the conflict that having a child with autism can cause. Kate then went on to get her Masters degree in psychology with a professional focus in marriage and family therapy from a Kean University in Union New Jersey. Kate moved to Virginia Beach in summer of 2015. She completed her residency for marriage and family therapy. In 2017 Kate went back to school online at FIT to earn the credits necessary to sit for her Bcba exam. Since earning her Bcba, LBA credentials, Kate has opened the ABA program here at Crescent counseling in case work services. She enjoys growing the program helping families in need to communicate better and manage behaviors accredited to autism. Kate also takes pride in training her staff to be the most efficient technicians in the Hampton roads area.
