Deanna Olney

Deanna Olney is the Assistant Program Director, Risk Management Specialist, and Outpatient Counselor Crescent Counseling & Casework Services at our Roanoke, Virginia office. Deanna has experience working with adults and children who struggle with depression, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), self-esteem, trauma, and substance abuse. 

Deanna completed her Bachelor (BS) and Master of Social Work (MSW) at Radford University focusing on clinical social work practice with an understanding and appreciation of human diversity, with an additional focus on promoting inclusion, social justice, and cultural humility. Deanna understands how difficult starting outpatient therapy can be, but she will softly guide you in developing your treatment goals, and she will work at whatever pace feels comfortable for you. Deanna uses a mix of strengths-based approaches, person-centered therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, art and play therapy-informed interventions, client-centered therapy, and integrative/holistic therapy. Deanna is client-centered and will focus on your individual needs to help you heal and live a fulfilling life.
